Adam Rose, MBA, SHRM-SCP, Finance and Operations Manager
Adam works behind the scenes to ensure the organization has the administration and resources it needs to fulfill its mission, vision, and values. Having operated in multiple non-profit and for-profit spaces, Adam loves to dig into the areas of an organization that need attention, diagnose problems, and collaborate on solutions. He tracks the many grant deliverables for millions of dollars’ worth of projects to ensure consistent reporting to GIC’s many funders and provides financial management to ensure reliable cash flow for GIC. Adam also manages human resources, ensuring that all staff have the support they need to achieve their best work while achieving a “work-life” balance to also be happy and effective.
Mr. Rose has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Liberty University and completed his Master’s in Business Administration from Western Governor’s University during the pandemic, two days shy of his fortieth birthday and in only 18 months. He also started studying for the SHRM-SCP test when his MBA started, and while he doesn’t recommend this approach, it paid off as he passed it on the first attempt. Shortly after this, Adam joined the board of a local music education non-profit as he is a classically trained vocalist, and while no longer actively singing, he loves to see the connection that music brings to the world.
In his spare time, Adam loves to learn about cooking, travel, and finding new food experiences to share with others. His family has a shared Google map with “bucket list” restaurants on it that they are planning to travel to and enjoy. He also enjoys learning about how others see the world and enjoys the diverse perspectives he has experienced in previous roles. Adam is excited to join the team at GIC, learn about the organization, work to help it grow and be successful in its mission in preserving nature as green infrastructure.
